The Comité Français des Plastiques en Agriculture (CPA), an Association according to the law of 1901 with its registered office at 125 Rue Aristide Briand, 92300 Levallois Perret, registration number SIRET 309 814 564 00030, is responsible for the treatment of collected data according to EU Regulation
2016/679 from the European Parliament and the European Council dated 27 April 2016 and French law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978.
Categories of data that we process
Here are the categories of data that we process when you use our website:
– Name of users
– Occupation/Employer/Type of users
– Email address of users
– Technical identification of device used (IP address, web browser, etc …).
The collection and processing of that data is based either on the consent of users, or the legitimate interest of the data processor. User consent can be withdrawn later.
Data is collected directly from users. Mandatory data is identified with an asterisk in data collection forms. Without such data, the service might not be provided.
Users are informed of data processing at registration and have the right to later object to processing, within the provisions of applicable legislation, such as articles 17 and 21 of GDPR regarding the processing of data for legitimate interest.

Cookies and trackers
Data processing may include the collection and processing of data relating to the device used to access the services, such as the model, the operating system, the technical identifiers of the terminal, the IP address and geo-localisation of the point of access. Such data is not individual-related.
The use of certain cookies is subject to user consent. Therefore, we ask users visiting the website for the first time, to accept that we place those cookies that require consent, in their web browser.

Purposes of data processing
The data collected whilst using the website and accessing services, is processed to enable users to register for the online presentation of the report on Conventional and Biodegradable Plastics in Agriculture, organised by the DG Environment of the European Commission, to access information on the website, for user identification, to collate audience and usage statistics and to make available information and editorial content relating to the conference.
The data controller uses the data mentioned only for its own needs and for the purposes described. Data is not used for any other purposes, is not passed on to third parties and is confidential.
However the data controller may call on technical service providers, including but not limited to web hosting, applications and databases in shared server infrastructure, or to use technical solutions to distribute content.
Where appropriate, the collected data may be accessed by the service providers, strictly as part of the provision of services. As such, the data controller commits to restrict access to personal data by the service providers, contractually and technically, in particular through confidentiality agreements. Should the data controller transfer personal data to a third country, in particular if servers hosting the data or operators managing calls are located outside of the European Union, the data controller undertakes to include in contracts with those service providers, the standard contractual clauses established by the European Commission to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data transferred.
In accordance with the legislation in place, personal data is retained for a duration that does not exceed the time required for the purposes for which they have been collected and processed.
Personal data collected through the website is retained for a duration of 36 months from the date of collection.
Cookies and trackers installed whilst using the website expire after a maximum of 13 months from the date of the last visit. The data they collect are retained for a maximum of 25 months.
Security of collected data
The data controller undertakes to protect the confidentiality of the collected data, to apply all technical and organisational measures to ensure its security and integrity, in particular against accidental loss, tampering, dissemination or unauthorised access.

Rights of users
In accordance with the law « informatique et libertés » of 6 January 1978 and with EU regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, users have the right to access, rectify, delete, limit, reject and transfer data that relate to them.
